Overview:

This Power BI dashboard was developed to provide a centralized analytical view of deposit performance across Bank of Khyber branches. The dashboard monitors key financial and operational KPIs including:

  • Total Branches: 899

  • Total Accounts:50K

  • Active Accounts: 7,185

  • Monthly Debit Turnover: Rs 1.51bn

  • Total Deposits: Rs 7.53bn

It integrates branch-level, account-level, and monthly deposit data, enabling dynamic filtering through slicers and interactive visuals for executive decision-making.

Problem:

The bank required a consolidated reporting system to:

  • Monitor deposit growth trends (MoM comparison)

  • Analyze account activity status (Active vs Closed vs Inactive)

  • Identify high-income and high-value accounts

  • Compare corporate deposit contributions

  • Track monthly turnover fluctuations

Without such a dashboard, financial monitoring would rely on fragmented branch reports, making it difficult for management to quickly identify performance gaps and growth opportunities.

Key Insights

Strong Deposit Base:

With Rs 7.53bn total deposits, the bank demonstrates a solid liquidity position. The Monthly Debit Turnover of Rs 1.51bn indicates healthy transaction activity.

Month-over-Month Deposit Fluctuation:

From the MoM deposit comparison:

  • Deposits fluctuate between Rs 586M – Rs 662M

  • Noticeable dip around February (~Rs 586M)

Critical Insight:
Only 7,185 out of 25.50K accounts are active, meaning a large portion of accounts are inactive or closed.

Business Risk:

Growth Strategy:
Diversify corporate deposit base and strengthen SME banking.
